² After David had offered those sacrifices, he prayed that the Lord would bless the people. ³ Then he gave a gift to every Israelite man and woman. Each person received a loaf of bread, some dates and some raisins.

⁴ Then David chose some Levites to serve the Lord at the Covenant Box. They would lead prayers and songs to thank the Lord, Israel's God, and to praise him.
